Why choose this beach
Los Boliches-Gaviotas is the ranking's most dependable family choice. The long urban shoreline is backed by a promenade, restaurants and extensive seasonal facilities, while Los Boliches station makes it unusually easy to reach without a car. It is less dramatic than Nerja or Artola, but stronger for repeatable, low-friction beach days.
Best time to visit
June and September; before 11:00 during peak summer.
Morning
Best for families, exercise and finding space near an accessible entrance.
Midday
Busy but fully serviced, with shade and food readily available nearby.
Evening
The promenade becomes the main attraction for walking and dinner.
Access
Use the C1 train to Los Boliches or walk from central Fuengirola. Promenade access and adapted bathing infrastructure are among the coast's strongest.
Local tip
Choose a section away from the busiest access points, then use the promenade for lunch rather than moving the car.
Before you go
A busy urban setting with less natural character; service and assisted-bathing schedules are seasonal.
