Settli beach ranking methodology
How Settli researches, scores, verifies and updates its editorial beach rankings and information.
Overall score
The Settli score is an editorial assessment out of ten, not an average of user reviews. Every ranked beach receives six evidence-backed scores under a versioned method. The overall score uses the published weights below and is rounded to one decimal place.

| Best-for fit | 15% | How convincingly the beach serves its stated audience, such as families, snorkellers or food-focused visits. |
| Access & transport | 10% | Public transport, road access, final approach and realistic parking constraints. |
| Space & crowd balance | 10% | Usable space weighed against typical demand and concentration around access points. |
Sources
Coordinates, physical dimensions and facilities begin with official sources such as the Junta de Andalucía. Annual awards, bathing-water quality and seasonal services require their own dated source. Every published detail page exposes its sources and verification date.
Human review
The catalog publishes official records only after source, language and coordinate checks pass. Automated imports never publish a ranking, score, image or detail page. An editor must review copy, position, evidence, limitations and image rights in both English and Spanish.
Same-day conditions
A stable editorial score never claims that swimming is safe today. Lifeguard flags, municipal notices and actual sea conditions always take precedence over this ranking.
Changes and corrections
Assessments are stored by year and methodology version. Records missing from a source move to review rather than disappearing silently. Material corrections update the visible review date.
